By hiring Gibsonton Movers, you (“you,” “the customer,” “client”) agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services.

1. Agreement to Terms

By booking or using the services provided by Gibsonton Movers, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any additional terms, policies, or guidelines referenced herein or available through our website.

2. Services Provided

Gibsonton Movers provides moving and storage services, including but not limited to:

  • Local and long-distance moving
  • Residential and commercial moving
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Loading and unloading
  • Temporary and long-term storage solutions

Specific services may vary depending on the nature of the move and your specific requirements. Additional services may be offered upon request and subject to availability.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: To schedule services, you must contact us directly via phone or email or through our website. A booking confirmation will be provided once the reservation is made.
  • Payment: Payment for services will be due according to the terms outlined in the estimate and invoice provided by Gibsonton Movers. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, check, or other accepted methods. All payments must be completed prior to or on the day of service.
  • Deposits: A deposit may be required for long-distance moves or large-scale moves and will be applied to the total moving cost.
  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. A cancellation fee may apply depending on the circumstances.

4. Responsibilities of Gibsonton Movers

Gibsonton Movers agrees to:

  • Provide reliable and professional moving services.
  • Take reasonable care of all items during the move.
  • Use appropriate moving equipment and personnel for the services required.
  • Ensure that all moving vehicles are in good working condition and adequately insured.
  • Store items in our facilities with the necessary precautions and security.

5. Responsibilities of the Customer

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the items to be moved.
  • Ensure that all items are properly packed for transport, or hire Gibsonton Movers to provide packing services.
  • Provide access to the pick-up and delivery locations, including parking and loading/unloading areas.
  • Remove all valuables and items of significant importance (such as jewelry, important documents, and cash) before the move.
  • Ensure that the moving path is clear and that no obstacles exist for the movers.

6. Prohibited Items

Certain items are prohibited from being moved or stored due to safety concerns, legal regulations, or insurance policies. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable liquids, explosives, etc.)
  • Perishable items (food, plants, etc.)
  • Animals or pets
  • Expensive or irreplaceable items (such as cash, jewelry, and heirlooms) unless previously arranged with Gibsonton Movers.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that no prohibited items are included in their shipment.

7. Insurance and Liability

  • Basic Coverage: Gibsonton Movers provides limited liability coverage for the loss or damage of your belongings during the move, which is based on the weight of the items being transported. This coverage is outlined in the moving estimate.
  • Additional Insurance: Additional insurance options, such as full value protection, may be available for an additional fee. We strongly recommend purchasing additional insurance for high-value or fragile items.
  • Liability Limitations: Gibsonton Movers is not liable for damages resulting from improper packing, acts of God (e.g., natural disasters), or any pre-existing damage to items. We are also not responsible for any damages to the property, including walls, floors, or doorframes, that result from standard moving activities.

8. Storage Terms

  • Storage Facility: Gibsonton Movers offers temporary and long-term storage services. Our storage facilities are secure, but we recommend that you have insurance for any items stored.
  • Storage Fees: Storage fees will apply to any items left in our storage facility. The fee structure will be provided based on the storage duration and the size of the items being stored.
  • Access to Stored Items: You may access your stored items during regular business hours, and we will coordinate with you to ensure that everything is in order.
  • Storage Limitations: Gibsonton Movers will not store prohibited items, and we are not responsible for items that are damaged, lost, or stolen during storage unless additional insurance is purchased.

9. Delays and Liabilities

  • Delays: While we strive to complete all moves and deliveries within the estimated time frame, unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, traffic, or mechanical issues may cause delays. Gibsonton Movers will not be held liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control.
  • Customer Responsibilities During Delays: In the event of delays, customers are expected to remain flexible and make arrangements to accommodate the revised timeline.

10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you are unsatisfied with the services provided by Gibsonton Movers, we encourage you to contact us immediately. We take customer feedback seriously and will work to resolve any issues promptly.

  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of any disputes, we encourage you to contact us for resolution. If we cannot resolve the matter amicably, disputes may be subject to arbitration or mediation as per the laws of the state of Florida.

11. Indemnification

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Gibsonton Movers, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from any act or omission by the customer in relation to the moving and storage services.

12. Modification of Terms

Gibsonton Movers reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated terms will take effect as soon as they are posted. Continued use of our services after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of those changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida.
